Western Sydney Indigenous Business Summit

The Yarpa NSW Indigenous Business and Employment Hub in conjunction with the NSW Aboriginal Land Council (NSWALC) hosted the very first Western Sydney Indigenous Business Summit on 31 July 2019 at Warwick Farm. The Summit was a unique and collaborative forum bringing together over 100 key stakeholders from the Indigenous business sector, government, corporates and industry to collaboratively look at how Aboriginal businesses can harness the economic opportunities arising across Western Sydney.

The event also included a panel discussion facilitated by well-known news and political journalist Stan Grant and included the following panellists:

  • Troy Rugless - Director & Founder, PSG Holdings (Aboriginal Business)

  • Sharon Gray – Indigenous Social and Inclusion Manger, CPB Contractors

  • Candice Bell - Aboriginal Engagement Manager, Western Sydney Airport

  • Ricky Walford – Community Engagement Manager, Enable Consulting

Ngurra played a leading role in the event concept and design, project management, media and communications and event management of the Summit.
